Eight men have been captured for brutally ambushing an administration caravan transporting cows in northwest India, police said Tuesday, the most recent strike by vigilantes asserting to secure the hallowed creature.
A swarm of around 200 Hindu hardliners Sunday hindered the guard of trucks in Rajasthan state as government authorities escorted 80 bovines and calves to a state-run reproducing program in India’s south.
